The study attempts to explore the challenges experienced by graduate students in writing the Master’s dissertation. It also sheds light on the reasons why most MA students failed to write a successful dissertation that adheres to the academic research writing standards. To this end, an exploratory concurrent-nested design was adopted. The research findings revealed the following challenges: unfamiliarity with the content of the dissertation parts, summarizing and paraphrasing issues, poor language proficiency and writing issues.

تهدف الدراسة الى استكشاف التحديات التي يواجهها طلبة الماستر في كتابة مذكرة التخرج وأهم الأسباب التي أدت الى تلك التحديات. ولبلوغ هذين الهدفين، تم اعتماد تصميم استكشافي أسفرت من خلاله نتائج الدراسات عن التحديات التالية: عدمالإلمام بمحتوى فصول مذكرة الماستر، صعوبات في التلخيص واعادة الصياغة، ومشاكل في الكتابة الأكاديمية باللغة الانجليزية.
