This thesis aims at exploring Cross linguistic influence (CLI) in the written production of English as L3/Ln in which it set out to investigate the source of language transfer for Algerian Students as multilinguals. The objectives of this research are to determine whether L1 MSA or L2 Fr are the source of influence in L3/Ln English as well as to identify the affective variables of CLI namely proficiency, L2 status, recency, typology and psychotypology.

تهدف هذه الأطروحة إلى استكشاف التأثير اللغوي المتبادل في الإنتاج الكتابي للغة الإنجليزية كلغة ثالثة أو إضافية حيث تم تحديد مصدر نقل اللغة للطلاب الجزائريين بصفتهم متعددي اللغات. تتمثل أهداف هذا البحث في تحديد ما إذا كانت اللغة العربية أو الفرنسية هي مصدر التأثير في اللغة الإنجليزية كلغة ثالثة أو إضافية بالإضافة إلى تحديد المتغيرات الأكثر فاعلية وهي الكفاءة وحالة اللغة الثانية والحداثة والتصنيف والحكم الذاتي على القرب بين اللغات
