The present study is a phenomenographic investigation into the students’ experience of studying Linguistics. It aimed at investigating the students’ conceptions and approaches to studying Linguistics. The study involved the participation of forty undergraduate students, all enrolled in the 2nd year in the Department of English at the University of Algiers 2. This study draws from phenomenography in designing, analyzing, and interpreting the data. The findings revealed various ways of interpreting the study of Linguistics in the context of the preset study.

دراسة ظاهرية لتجربة الطلاب في دراسة علم اللغة. هدفت إلى التحقق من مفاهيم الطلاب وأساليبهم في دراسة علم اللغة. شملت الدراسة مشاركة أربعين طالبا جامعيا، جميعهم مسجلون في السنة الثانية بقسم اللغة الإنجليزية بجامعة الجزائر 2. وتعتمد هذه الدراسة على الظواهر في تصميم البيانات, تحليلها وتفسيرها. كشفت النتائج عن طرق مختلفة لتفسير دراسة علم اللغة في سياق الدراسة المعدة مسبقا.
