This research study has been conducted in an attempt to help first year students at the department of English in the university of Algiers2  overcome their problems in English writing via introducing assessment for learning  procedures, namely through using rubrics and involving students in assessments under teacher scaffolding and guidance. These practices are supposed to provide constructive and elaborated feedback. The major results yielded are so satisfying for students’ writing development at various levels.

أُجريت هذه الدراسة لغرض مساعدة طلاب السنة الأولى على مستوى قسم اللغة الانجليزية بجامعة الجزائر 2 على التغلب على مشاكلهم في الكتابة باللغة الإنجليزية من خلال إدراج التقييم لغرض التعلم ، وتحديدًا من خلال استخدام أدوات التقييم و إشراك الطلاب في عملية التقييم تحت إشراف وتوجيهات الأساتذة. تهدف الأدوات والطرق المدرجة إلى خلق ملاحظات بناءة. النتائج الرئيسية التي تم الحصول عليها مرضية للغاية فيما يخص تنمية مهارات الكتابة لدى الطلاب وعلى مختلف المستويات.

This research was conducted due to a gap which had been identified between teachers’ need for effective and motivating method of teaching and the actual performance/ situation, its results will help to establish a deep understanding of how multimedia adds value to the academic learning environment with a focus upon the use of videos, audios, images and power point presentations as classroom aids.

هذه الدراسة تسلط الضوء على العديد من النقاط المتعلقة بالوسائط المتعددة كالمواد التعليمية مثل كيف ومتى ولماذا يتم استخدام هذه المواد. وعلى نفس القدر من الأهمية، تثمن تقييم التعلم باستخدام الوسائط المتعددة؛ وذلك من خلال مقدار تذكر الطلاب للمعلومات المقدمة (التذكر).  تم إجراء هذا البحث بسبب الفجوة التي تم تحديدها بين حاجة الاساتذة إلى طريقة تدريس فعالة ومحفزة والأداء / الوضع الفعلي ، كما تساعد نتائجه على إنشاء فهم عميق لكيفية إضافة الوسائط المتعددة قيمة إلى بيئة التعلم الأكاديمية مع التركيز على استخدام مقاطع الفيديو والتسجيلات الصوتية ، الصور والعروض التقديمية باور بوينت

The study aimed to sort out the major difficulties and problems ESP teachers and learners face which hinder successful ESP teaching and learning in Algerian Universities. The study was conducted with a sample of 24 ESP teachers and 364 undergraduate learners enrolled at different faculties at the University of Ghardaia.  The researcher used questionnaires and classroom observation for data collection.

هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى استكشاف الصعوبات و العراقيل التي يواجهها كل من أساتذة الإنجليزية المتخصصة و الطلبة بالجامعة الجزائرية و التي تحول دون التعلم الفعال و الأداء الجيد للطلبة في اللغة الإنجليزية. أجريت الدراسة مع عينة متكونة من 24    أستاذ للغة الإنجليزية المتخصصة و364 طالبا من كليات مختلفة بجامعة غرداية. استخدمت الدراسة أساليب مختلفة لجمع المعلومات كالاستبيانات و الملاحظة المباشرة لحصص الإنجليزية المتخصصة.

This thesis aims at exploring Cross linguistic influence (CLI) in the written production of English as L3/Ln in which it set out to investigate the source of language transfer for Algerian Students as multilinguals. The objectives of this research are to determine whether L1 MSA or L2 Fr are the source of influence in L3/Ln English as well as to identify the affective variables of CLI namely proficiency, L2 status, recency, typology and psychotypology.

تهدف هذه الأطروحة إلى استكشاف التأثير اللغوي المتبادل في الإنتاج الكتابي للغة الإنجليزية كلغة ثالثة أو إضافية حيث تم تحديد مصدر نقل اللغة للطلاب الجزائريين بصفتهم متعددي اللغات. تتمثل أهداف هذا البحث في تحديد ما إذا كانت اللغة العربية أو الفرنسية هي مصدر التأثير في اللغة الإنجليزية كلغة ثالثة أو إضافية بالإضافة إلى تحديد المتغيرات الأكثر فاعلية وهي الكفاءة وحالة اللغة الثانية والحداثة والتصنيف والحكم الذاتي على القرب بين اللغات
