This work aims to inquire into the struggles that women have to go through in order to reach self-actualization under the rule of patriarchy in the four African novels L’interdite (1993) by Algerian writer Malika Mokeddem, Nervous Conditions (1988) by the Zimbabwean Tsitsi Dangarembga, The Grass Is Singing (1950) by Nobel Prize winner Doris Lessing, and Woman at Point Zero (1977) by Egyptian writer and activist Nawel El Saadawi. The thesis endeavors to: study the oppression that the female characters experience, to analyze the state of alienation that results from it, and to explore the strategies of resistance that women use in their attempts to reach fulfillment.

يهدف هذا العمل إلى التحقيق في الصراعات التي يجب أن تواجهها المرأة لتحقيق الذات في ظل النظام الأبوي في أربع روايات أفريقية محظورة (1993) للكاتبة الجزائرية مليكة مقدم، وحالات عصبية (1988) للكاتبة الزيمبابوية تسيتسي دانجاريمبغا. "العشب يغني" (1950) للكاتبة دوريس ليسينج الحائزة على جائزة نوبل، و"امرأة عند نقطة الصفر" (1977) للكاتبة والناشطة المصرية نوال السعداوي. تهدف الأطروحة إلى: دراسة الاضطهاد الذي تتعرض له الشخصيات النسائية، وتحليل حالة الاغتراب الناتجة عنه، واستكشاف استراتيجيات المقاومة التي تستخدمها المرأة في محاولاتها لتحقيق الذات

This research aims to contribute to the development of literature pedagogy in EFL classrooms through the use of an interdisciplinary approach that stands on the philosophy of cultural responsiveness. Following a quasi-experimental one-group-pretest-posttest design, 30 third-year students at the University of Zian Achor were tested before and after a 14-week intervention. The findings indicate a significant difference between students' pre-and post-test scores and a positive effect on various areas of learning literature.

يهدف هذا البحث إلى المساهمة في تطوير بيداغوجية تدريس الأدب في فصول التعليم العالي للغة الإنجليزية كلغة أجنبية.يقترح البحث نهجا متعدد التخصصات يدمج تقنيات واستراتيجيات من خمسة مناهج ونظريات مختلفة، ويعتمد على فلسفة الاستجابة الثقافية. يتبع البحث تصميما شبه تجريبي،مستخدما كلا من الأدوات النوعية والكمية لجمع البيانات والتحليل. شارك في البحث 30طالبا في السنة الثالثة في جامعة زيان عاشور بالجلفة، تم اختبارهم قبل وبعد تدريس دام 14 أسبوعا. تشير النتائج التي تم التحقق منها من أدوات البحث المختلفة إلى وجود فرق واضح بين درجات الطلاب قبل التجربةوبعدها. كما تشير الى تأثير إيجابي على مجالات مختلفة لتعلم الادب.

-Résumé en Anglais:
This Thesis investigates the issue of emotional intelligence in the Algerian
context. It seeks to find out whether middle school teachers of English are
emotionally intelligent, and examines the extent to which gender affects their
emotional classroom practices. The study at hand was conducted with six
teachers of English from three different middle schools of Chlef, 218 middle
school pupils from these three middle schools, and four inspectors of English.

        تهدف هذه الدراسة العلمية إلى توضيح مسألة الذكاء العاطفي في
السياق الجزائري. وهي تسعى إلى معرفة ما إذا كان مدرسو اللغة
الإنجليزية في المدارس المتوسطة أذكياء عاطفياً، وتبحث مدى تأثير نوعا
لجنس على ممارساتهم العاطفية في الفصول الدراسية. وأُجريت الدراسة
قيد البحث بمشاركة ستة مدرسين للغة الإنجليزية من ثلاث مدارس
المتوسطة مختلفة في منطقة الشلف، و 218 تلميذاً من المدارس المتوسطة
من هذه المدارس المتوسطة الثلاث، وأربعة مفتشي اللغة الإنجليزية.

The present study is a phenomenographic investigation into the students’ experience of studying Linguistics. It aimed at investigating the students’ conceptions and approaches to studying Linguistics. The study involved the participation of forty undergraduate students, all enrolled in the 2nd year in the Department of English at the University of Algiers 2. This study draws from phenomenography in designing, analyzing, and interpreting the data. The findings revealed various ways of interpreting the study of Linguistics in the context of the preset study.

دراسة ظاهرية لتجربة الطلاب في دراسة علم اللغة. هدفت إلى التحقق من مفاهيم الطلاب وأساليبهم في دراسة علم اللغة. شملت الدراسة مشاركة أربعين طالبا جامعيا، جميعهم مسجلون في السنة الثانية بقسم اللغة الإنجليزية بجامعة الجزائر 2. وتعتمد هذه الدراسة على الظواهر في تصميم البيانات,  تحليلها وتفسيرها. كشفت النتائج عن طرق مختلفة لتفسير دراسة علم اللغة في سياق الدراسة المعدة مسبقا.
